A late-ripening terroir which was picked last. Nicely fat, with a lightly phenolic finish, it's pure and long.

20-30% Pinot Blanc in the vineyard. Long fermentation, so still half-made when we tasted. Good volume and body, it's something a little different, but very likeable. Not very deep soils - it's on pebbles.

20% new oak. Cask sample. Subtle oak notes on the nose. Creamy herbal citrus. These Berthelemot wines have a lovely balance between generous, pure fruit and excellent freshness. (JH) 13%

Nearly ready for bottling when we saw it, an immediate expressive white fruit nose, supple palate with that citrus juice enlivening it.

A more composed and refined village wine, with less obvious fruit, nicely rich in the mid-palate, still with the vintage's citrussy notes in the background. Nicely done.
