Summer has been a long time coming this year, but still our Provence Rosés have been selling steadily – partly because rosé has become an all-year-round choice, and partly, no doubt, in anticipation. You can find all our rosés here, and order NOW for the weekend*.
The big Château Brown-sponsored blind tasting organised by Richard Bampfield MW, attended by the great and good of wine journalism, have produced many excited comments about the five wines made by Guillaume Phillippe at Domaine Sainte Lucie and Domaine des Diables.
In this tasting of 40 of the best known names in Rosé, 2014 MIP* Made in Provence Classic Rosé Domaine Sainte Lucie (£11.95 single bottle, 10.95 ‘case’ price) came second overall, while being the cheapest wine in the tasting – with some of the competition weighing in at £50 a bottle and more. ‘GV’ or what? This wine has all the brilliance of the last few vintages, so stock up now.

Jancis Robinson, in her FT article recommended Guillaume’s 2014 ROSÉ BONBON Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire Domaine des Diables (£13.95 single bottle, £12.50 ‘case’ price) as one of her top-value buys.

Natasha Hughes MW has devoted an entire blog to Guillaume’s wines, and her favourite is Guillaume’s top of the range 2014 L’HYDROPATHE Élite Rosé Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire Domaine Sainte Lucie (£15.50 single bottle, 13.95 case price) :
“The thing that lifts it beyond the merely good, though, is the long, vibrant finish: it reminds me of biting into a slightly over-ripe peach – juice to the max, the essence of summer in a glass.“
MIXED CASES:
If you don’t already know which is your favourite, you may like to mix up a case yourself, (as always ‘case’ prices applies to all orders of 12 bottles or more – or order this one).
*All these wines are available now for delivery in London before the weekend (and the rest of the country within our normal terms) – or just come to one of the shops.
