The vineyard of Château Capbern-Gasqueton is quite small (25 hectares planted) and was hailed in 2010, so that the amount put on the market is half what was offered last year. We think think this estate offers really exceptional value, and the critics notes are consistent with wines offered at twice the price. “Lively deep crimson. Oddly, this seems fuller and sweeter than the 2009 – very punchy.” (Jancis Robinson). “What a great Saint Estephe!” (Neal Martin) “It may well be the bargain of the vintage” (Tim Atkin). “A polished and classy wine.” (Steven Spurrier).
Jonathan Maltus has offered his Laforge, a very good saint Emilion which has also been well received. Click either of the wine names below to see the full details on the website.
