One of our favourite new producers – Màquina & Tabla – has been given a resounding thumbs up by Tim Atkin this weekend, featuring on his website as “Wine of the Week”.
“This tastes as good as it looks”
We first introduced Tim to these wonderful wines at the NSPCC City Fine Wine Challenge in February (which raised a phenomenal £186,500), and he then tasted the whole range at our Spring Press Tasting at the Mandarin Oriental, alongside a prime selection of our favourites for this Spring.

What Tim said:
‘One of an excellent line-up of regional delights from an exciting new Spanish venture, this tastes as good as it looks. Made from biodynamically farmed, old vine Verdejo, it’s a savoury, textured white with subtle oak, tangy acidity and just a hint of oak framing the pear and citrus fruit flavours. Almost Burgundian in terms of weight, concentration and complexity, this is a remarkable Verdejo. 93’ Tim Atkin, 20 March 2016
