Thursday 26th February 2015, and the great and the good of the City gathered at RIBA in Portland Place for the 19th NSPCC City Fine Wine Challenge. Proceedings were kicked off by CFWC Chairman Andy Briggs, who loudly professed his credentials as a LEA & SANDEMAN customer to all who would listen.

New releases of Le Macchiole, including Paleo, Messorio & Scrio 2011. This year's releases from Le Macchiole are as great as the 2010s. The Paleo continues to confirm its place as the estate's signature wine. The Scrio - highly praised for the continued shift in style toward greater finesse - sold out fast last year and last year's buyers will take preference.

Great excitement surrounds the new releases of 2010 Brunello. L&S has worked for a long time as exclusive UK importers of highly-rated Brunello producers Fuligni and Collemattoni, both of whom make wines true to the style of traditional Brunello, with an eye to modernity, but without the excessive use of new oak, which has momentarily led to a change in style and character of many of the wines in the region.
