The 'second wine' produced on the property bought by Jacques ('le Pin') Thienpont in 2009. The first wine is called Château l'If, which gives all sorts of punning opportunities if only there was any to sell - it is another tiny production. The vines are high up on the top of the limestone ridge of Saint Emilion, next to Troplong Mondot. This 2010 is a huge step up on the 2009, (when Jacques and his team were really only able to influence the blending), and has a big ripe appeal and considerable density and length. L&S (Jun 2013)
