Lovely harmonious nose meldng citrus and sweetness of fruit, spice of oak and a panoply of bright fruit, spice and mineral. Nearly unctuous but still fresh and taut, not too exotic, long citrus finish. Rating: 93 L&S (Apr 2012)

The Pavillon Blanc has a very lifted, very pure bouquet with lovely scents of dried pineapple, vanilla, white peach and honeysuckle...nigh irresistible. The palate is medium-bodied with great fruit intensity on the entry: yellow plum, vanilla, custard creams and a touch of guava wrapped up in crisp acidity from start to finish. Blazingly pure, with gorgeous honeysuckle, heather, green almond, green plum and verbena notes backed by a long, macadamia nut–tinged finish. There's both tension and creaminess at the same time, delivering a beautiful expression of fruit and minerality. Despite sharing the label with the second wine of the red, this is grand vin white.
