Bright green-gold. Very rich:- opulent balance, tropical fruit, fat, really mouthfilling richness. Pure and very long, lots of power and class here. L&S (Jan 2014)

The 2012 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Mouchère 1er Cru is a great wine from Boillot, even holding its own against the 2013 Montrachet from Ramonet. Fresh and mineral-driven on the nose, it offers tempting glimpses of slate and sliced pear all very well defined. There is satisfying salinity on the entry of the palate, just a trace of sour lemon with fine delineation on the feisty finish. You could broach this now, though personally I would wait another couple of years. Drinking range: 2021 - 2036 Rating: 94 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (May 2019)
Outstanding lift to the aromas of lime and crushed stone. Silky, smooth and magically light on its feet, displaying outstanding energy and cut to its lemon, lime and spicy oak flavors. This tastes like it's from another vintage than the Combettes. The bracing, extremely long finish hints at huge dry extract without coming across as phenolic or dry. The crop level here was just 25 hectoliters per hectare, according to Boillot. Rating: 94 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Sept 2014)
(from 60+ year old vines and the vineyard is a whopping 4ha monopole within Perrieres). The nose is markedly reduced and I would strongly suggest decanting this if you're tempted to try a bottle young. The intensely mineral-driven middle weight plus flavors possess outstanding mid-palate concentration with an abundance of palate coating dry extract, all wrapped in a wonderfully vibrant and highly persistant finish. I very much like the balance as this is a big yet stylish effort that should amply repay medium-term cellaring. 2019+ Rating: 93 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jun 2014)
Domaine Henri Boillot
A domaine which dates to 1885, but which began properly in the early years of the 20th century under the current Henri's grandfather (also Henri). His son, Jean, was the one who really developed it. Henri arrived in 1975 and worked his way up, becoming the winemaker. In 2000 he began the building of the new winery at the bottom of Meursault, and he then bought out his brother and sister to keep the domaine as one, renaming it from 'Domaine Jean Boillot' to 'Domaine Henri Boillot' to avoid confusion with his brother Jean-Marc's domaine.
The Domaine totals around 14 hectares, with roughly equal surfaces of red and white, and of which just under 4ha is the Monopole vineyard of Clos de la Mouchère, a walled enclave within the premier Cru Puligny Perrières. The 2017 vintage saw the arrival of two new parcels of Grand Cru red, in Échezeaux and Latricières Chambertin
