Quite lifted, scented fruit on the nose and palate. It's not a heavyweight, but they have not overcooked it. Pretty definition slowly tightens up but the fruit stays well. A success. Rating: 91+ L&S (Apr 2014)

There's ripe cherry fruit on the nose, which is oaky and quite stylish. Medium-bodied, this is textured and elegant rather than structured, though there are some tannins on the finish, which is quite long. Drinking range: 2016 - 2022 Rating: 88 Stephen Brook, Decanter.com (Oct 2016)
One can sense the chalky limestone soil base of much of the Clos Fourtet vineyard (adjacent to the walls of this medieval showcase town). The dense ruby/plum-colored 2013 offers sweet black cherry and cassis fruit, good minerality, slightly angular acids (a characteristic of many 2013s), and ripe tannins. It should turn out to be very good, but it is clearly not one of the great Clos Fourtets made over the last decade or more. Drink it over the next 10-12 years. 2014-2026 Rating: 88-90 Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, www.RobertParker.com (Aug 2014)
Good deep ruby. Expressive aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco, mocha, dried flowers, minerals and truffle. Sweet, dense and seamless, with rich, dense, multilayered flavors of red fruits, minerals and flowers. Finishes with suave tannins and an aromatic leafy note. Excellent potential here. Rating: 89-92 Ian d'Agata - Stephen Tanzer website (May 2014)
