Focused nose, with soft sweet fruit. Good rich body, pure with lovely depth of flavour. A super village wine which will always be a lovely drink. Drinking range: 2019 - L&S (Nov 2016)

*Case price discount: Mix any 12 bottles of wine (or 9 litre equivalent) or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits, Sweet Wine or Fortified (4.5 litres) to get the discounted 'case price' for each bottle.

An ultra-fresh nose is composed by notes of red berries, earth, cherry and a hint of wet stone. There is a lovely sense of vibrancy to the well-delineated and attractively textured medium weight flavors that also reflect the stony character of the nose on the saline, balanced and focused finale. Lovely. Drinking range: 2021 - Rating: 89-91 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2017)

Bright red. Aromas of black cherry, dark raspberry, brown spices and smoke are darker than those of the Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes. Silky in texture but with a firm spine of acidity keeping the wine tight today. A juicy, sappy, spicy village wine with firm minerality, smooth tannins and noteworthy length. Rating: 89-91 Stephen Tanzer, www.vinousmedia.com (Jan 2017)

The 2015 Morey St Denis en la Rue de Vergy contains 60% whole cluster fruit this year. It has a quintessential nose for this vineyard, a bit aloof and distant at first, yet opening up with aeration and offering attractive black fruit and damp earthy scents. The palate is well balanced with slightly chewy tannin on the entry, a gentle grip, a little foursquare as Morey St Denis can be in barrel, though offering sufficient freshness and tension on the finish that will gain more depth by the time of bottling. Drinking range: 2018 - 2026 Rating: 88-90 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Dec 2016)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
