This really typifies how good Bordeaux can be even at a relatively affordable price. Great vintage, wonderful balance and freshness, poise and a deep cassis and plum fruitiness. The shape is so lithe and supple, very smooth in the mouth with tobacco, coffee and dark chocolate adding depth and complexity to the ripe black fruit core. All this is balanced out with a delicious acid freshness. Drinking range: 2021 - 2026 L&S (May 2021)

Château Saint Paul
Château Saint Paul is a 22 hectare property in the village of Saint Seurin-de-Cadourne, just to the north of Saint Estephe, and on very similar gravel soils. The vineyard is approximately 50% Merlot, with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
