Macerated strawberries, wild blackberries and mulberry fruit overlaid with all spice, cinnamon and dried herbs. Supple and silky mouthfeel with a building red fruit richness, notes of expensive chocolate, delicate spice and dried herbs and flowers once more. Complex, layered and captivating. L&S (Oct 2024)

The 2019 Château des Tours is so exotic on the nose, redcurrant & spice with layer after layer of perfume, strawberry & fresh pressed raspberry. It follows a similar path on the palate, with dried cranberry, herbs, fruit pastilles & the sweetest floral notes too. These are extraordinary wines of great complexity, the longer they are open the more they develop. I opened mine on Christmas Eve & held my nerve until Boxing Day, I wasn’t disappointed, an ethereal perfumed wine that wouldn’t be out of place in a line up of Cru Burgundy, Monsieur Reynaud is genius & his mystique & aura is well deserved.L&S (Jan 2024)

Château des Tours

Emmanuel Reynaud is the fourth generation of wine growers and took over from his father at Château des Tours in 1997 and also at the famous Chateau Rayas after the death of his uncle Jacques Reynaud. His wines are based upon very old Grenache vines, giving wines of little colour but great intensity of aroma and flavour.
