Faiveley rounds out its admirable portfolio of Chambolle wines with a Beaux Bruns, which they have been buying since 2011, although they do the work in the vineyard and pick the grapes themselves. The wine is supple and elegant, with a scented raspberry fruit adorned with hints of peony and anise; there is a bit of oak spice as well, but this should integrate with time. The texture is silky and round, with a gentle persistence on the finish. Drinking range: 2028 - 2050 Rating: 93 Charles Curtis MW, Decanter.com (May 2024)

Domaine Faiveley
The Faiveley family are the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy, owning around 120ha, spread across the Côte de Nuits, Beaune and Chalonnaise and encompassing everything from generic Bourgogne up to the grandest of Grand Crus. Their holdings supply the grapes for 5 out of every 6 bottles made by Faiveley, the balance being bought in from carefully selected contract growers.
