Peony floral aromatics, showcases some of the easy pleasure that La Pointe has long been able to deliver, with waves of pomegrante, creamy blackberry fruit, and the cocoa bean dusting of Pomerol. Tannins are supple. A successful handling of the 2023 vintage from director Eric Monneret and winemaker Pierre Candelier. The 2023 La Pointe is a supple, fruity wine Pomerol endowed with good depth. Today, the aromatics are not pristine, but I suspect a less-than-perfect sample is the culprit.
