Cask sample. Some depth of crimson. Introvert aromatically but interesting! Smooth and juicy, so much fruit that it almost disguises the structure until the very end. A superior wine with distinct potential. Long. (JR) Drinking range: 2030 - 2050 Rating: 17+ Jancis Robinson OBE MW - www.JancisRobinson.com (Nov 2024)

One of the darker and more concentrated colours. Impressive density too on the nose. This has moved across to the raspberry side, impeccable density, with refreshing minerals to finish. Picked ripe but at the right time. Serious crop thinning here has paid off. Drinking range: 2030 - 2038 Rating: *****94-96 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Nov 2024)

Nice open, rich attack heavy with fruit. Great weight. Intense, but nicely dark and polished. This has super flow and energy which measures the fruit load somewhat in a good way - adding shape and frame. Lots of joy from the nicely ripe fruit. Really quite a cracker.L&S (Nov 2024)

Faiveley owns half of the cru here with its 4.0617 hectares. Jérôme always points out that this is a very sunny spot, and there is plenty of palate-staining, black fruit ripeness here. Posh and sure to be popular, this has filmy tannins—less tugging than usual—and an elegant thread of acidity up the back palate. Rating: 93 Tim Atkin MW, www.timatkin.com (Jan 2025)

The Faiveley family are the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy, owning around 120ha, spread across the Côte de Nuits, Beaune and Chalonnaise and encompassing everything from generic Bourgogne up to the grandest of Grand Crus. Their holdings supply the grapes for 5 out of every 6 bottles made by Faiveley, the balance being bought in from carefully selected contract growers.
