A blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with about 10% Chardonnay to give a dash of elegance. Considerably better than some widely available cheap Grandes Marques, and very consistent in quality and value. L&S (Mar 2005)

Benedick comes from a family-owned 'négociant-manipulant' which also has considerable vineyard holdings, which may help explain the consistently high quality they maintain at a price which may be marginally higher than the cheapest, but for a quality level which is always much higher.
