Very dense on the nose, but bright fruits come through on the nose - sweet violet, raspberry, lots of minerality and stone notes, soft and elegant, high toned raspberry conserve, a good touch of bright strawberry elegant and fresh, long and juicy too, easy going, vibrant & juicy - very good.

Intense, wisely composed and vibrant blend of grenache, mourvedre, syrah, counoise and vaccarese. The nose if full of berries, cherries, dried herbs, wet stones and some crushed peppercorns. It’s medium-bodied with finely grained tannins. Elegant touch of velvet on the palate to the bright and succulent fruit. Agile and vivid with a similar finish. Long and driven. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. Rating: 94 James Suckling, www.jamessuckling.com (Jun 2024)

Vinified from certified biodynamic grapes, the 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Dame Voyageuse showcases ripe red and black cherry, black plum and licorice. Savory and inviting, the 2022 offers more ripeness and concentration than the 2021 and shows greater substance overall. Tasted twice with consistent notes. Rating: 90-92 Nicholas Greinacher - Vinousmedia.com (Jun 2024)

90% Grenache, 4% Syrah, 4% Mourvèdre, 1% Vaccarèsse, 1% Counoise. Vinified in stainless-steel tanks (85%) and old oak barrels (15%). Aged for 10 months in oak barrels (15% new, 85% old). Certified organic and biodynamic. Tank sample. Tasted blind. A fresh nose with purple fruits, blueberry and garrigue. Rounded, ripe and dense mouthfeel with huge concentration of dark fruits, lavender, garrigue and fig jam. This is intense, hedonistic, and delicious with it. There is a nice graphite mineral layer beneath the vibrant blue fruits, which gives a sense of freshness. Domaine de la Mordorée

Started in 1986 by the Delorme family, Domaine de la Mordorée has become one of the top estates in the Rhône, with arguably the most consistent quality. The word 'Mordorée', literally 'bronze' or 'golden-brown' is one of the many poetic names for a woodcock, the symbol of the domaine. Other such names include the cuvée names - 'La Belle Voyageuse' (the beautiful traveller), and 'La Dame Rousse' (the russet lady). Founding winemaker Christophe Delorme's objective was to be unintrusive and maintain total respect for his terroir and the fruit it produces, striving to achieve a perfect balance between concentration, terroir and balance.

The domaine consists of 55 Hectares, on 38 different parcels, providing a rich, wide range of soils and micro-climates. The whole domaine has been certified organic since 2007.

Following Christophe's untimely death in 2015, his wife and daughter, Madeleine and Ambre, have taken on the running of the domaine, ably assisted by Rémy Chauvet, who was the cellarmaster under Christophe. As Jeb Dunnuck has put it in the Wine Advocate, 'the estate is obviously still in incredibly capable hands'.
