Henri clarifies this is very much a 'Meursault Village de Coteaux - not from the plain below.' From five parcels including Petits Charrons, En Luraule, Les Chevalieres and Les Casse Tetes. For Henri this broad blend of parcels gives a truly valid Village wine - this is certainly a very senior example. Enticing richness to the nose – super inviting. Very Meursault, but not your ‘beurre en noisette’ of old. Great freshness too to balance the rich orchard fruit and cooked lemon, just so fresh and great mineral energy. L&S (Nov 2023)

*Case price discount: Mix any 12 bottles of wine (or 9 litre equivalent) or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits, Sweet Wine or Fortified (4.5 litres) to get the discounted 'case price' for each bottle.

All domaine fruit now, from Les Chevalières, Luraule, Pelles, Casses Têtes, Petits Charrons. Pale to medium lemon yellow. A generous bouquet speaking clearly of Meursault. A broad bench of ripe white apple fruit with excellent energy, good acidity behind, and notable persistence. Very Meursault and quite delicious. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: December 2023. Drinking range: 2027 - 2034 Rating: ***** Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2024)

Domaine Henri Boillot

A domaine which dates to 1885, but which began properly in the early years of the 20th century under the current Henri's grandfather (also Henri). His son, Jean, was the one who really developed it. Henri arrived in 1975 and worked his way up, becoming the winemaker. In 2000 he began the building of the new winery at the bottom of Meursault, and he then bought out his brother and sister to keep the domaine as one, renaming it from 'Domaine Jean Boillot' to 'Domaine Henri Boillot' to avoid confusion with his brother Jean-Marc's domaine.

The Domaine totals around 14 hectares, with roughly equal surfaces of red and white, and of which just under 4ha is the Monopole vineyard of Clos de la Mouchère, a walled enclave within the premier Cru Puligny Perrières. The 2017 vintage saw the arrival of two new parcels of Grand Cru red, in Échezeaux and Latricières Chambertin
