Here too there is enough reduction to push what appears to ripe fruit to the background. The supple and seductively textured medium weight flavors also have a generous mouthfeel while delivering perfectly good depth and persistence on the mildly warm finale. The 2023 Côte de Nuits Les Leurey, which is located in front of Clos de Maréchale, was a bit reduced on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite spicy in style though there is a little hardness toward the finish. Hopefully it will loosen up by the time of bottling. The lack of the word 'domaine' in the name signals that this is a négociant wine from Thibault Liger-Belair. On the whole Thibault buys grapes having tended the vines with his own team, so that the wines are domaine wines in all but name.
