When you visit this part of Bordeaux, you can turn right for Pomerol where you will pay significantly more for your wines, or left for Lalande de Pomerol, where you will pay considerably less and find quality levels that demonstrate how far Bordeaux has come in the last 20 years. This is top-flight modern Lalande de Pomerol, which also has the volume and depth of fruit to complement it. Round and mouthfilling, succulent and long, it is delicious drinking now. Château Perron

Château Perron is located near the church in the village of Lalande-de-Pomerol. It has been the home of the Massonie family since 1958, although the château dates back to 1642. Michel Massonie, father of Bertrand who runs the estate today, was a well-known figure in the region and was instrumental in founding Lalande-de-Pomerol's wine brotherhood.
