Tasted after the Meursault, this is on a distinctly different register, as you would hope! Lovely elegance and poise. Really nice feel. Just so very Puligny - there is a lifted floral hit on the nose that follows to the palate. Firm white nectarine, crisp apple fill the middle and a gentle chalky line builds to the finish. Clever again in this vintage to have power and brood building. Certainly no lightweight - but nicely chiselled, restrained drive. L&S (Nov 2022)

(from 1 ha of evenly mixed vines in Houlières, Charmes, La Rue aux Vaches, Rue Rousseau and Enseignères). Moderate reduction is enough to push the underlying fruit to the background. By contrast, there is excellent freshness and intensity to the solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that coat the palate with dry extract while delivering impressive length on the balanced, youthfully austere and citrus-tinged finale. This is a really good Puligny villages and even though it’s more powerful than usual, it remains stylish and refined. One to buy plus it should age gracefully. Drinking range: 2028 - Rating: 91 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jun 2023)

Attractive pale yellow. the nose is rather fine too, very classic. Clean crisp lifted with a lovely aftertaste which really lingers. White fruit with enough of the flowers and just a little lime citrus to finish. Drinking range: 2025 - 2029 Rating: 90-92 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Oct 2022)

Domaine Henri Boillot

A domaine which dates to 1885, but which began properly in the early years of the 20th century under the current Henri's grandfather (also Henri). His son, Jean, was the one who really developed it. Henri arrived in 1975 and worked his way up, becoming the winemaker. In 2000 he began the building of the new winery at the bottom of Meursault, and he then bought out his brother and sister to keep the domaine as one, renaming it from 'Domaine Jean Boillot' to 'Domaine Henri Boillot' to avoid confusion with his brother Jean-Marc's domaine.

The Domaine totals around 14 hectares, with roughly equal surfaces of red and white, and of which just under 4ha is the Monopole vineyard of Clos de la Mouchère, a walled enclave within the premier Cru Puligny Perrières. The 2017 vintage saw the arrival of two new parcels of Grand Cru red, in Échezeaux and Latricières Chambertin
