A parcel of 34 year old vines on a site which Justine decided looked specially good this year, so it has been vinified separately.

Not really doing anything aromatically - yet. Palate is taut yet supple, with very fine tannins and good acid balance. Good density - but so closed.

Chalky soil at the bottom of the village: very fine, but ripe and opulent too - lovely fruit intensity.

A little more giving than the village Chambolle, a little bit of floral on the nose, a sappy texture, saline and silky. Good body, there's good stuff here it just needs to open up.

Part of Beaux Bruns is Premier Cru, so this is close - on clay, a richer palate than Thibault's 'Vieilles Vignes' cuvée.

Fully-formed and this now really singing of Chambolle with floral notes and red berry lift - very Chambolle in texture, gliding silkily and long.
